Infant Program 0 - 18 monthsOur infant program offers a stimulating and nurturing environment that is meant to meet the needs of each child. Our infant teachers are experienced ECE’s and/or caregivers who understand the importance of this critical period. Outdoor and indoor daily activities; including sensory based materials, crafts, age appropriate toys, and music are put into place to provide a safe surrounding where infants are free to explore. Parents are responsible for providing formula, diapers, wipes and creams needed for their infants, all of which must be clearly labelled with the infant’s name. Once your child begins to eat table food, the Centre will provide the food and 2% or 3.25% milk. We ask that you provide enough bottles to accommodate your child’s feeding schedule.

Preschool Program 21/2 - 4 yearsAt Country Kids, we know the benefits of preparing your children for school. Research shows that, “Children who attend high-quality preschool enter kindergarten with better pre-reading skills, richer vocabularies, and stronger basic math skills than those who do not," says NIEER director W. Steven Barnett, PhD. Country Kids preschool program allows children to explore freely, while also becoming accustomed to structure and routine through activities which will prepare them for the school system. These activities include; small and large group exercises, free play, outdoor play, art, dramatic, sensory, early literacy and math. Our preschool program complements the Ministry’s Kindergarten Expectations; as well as is a mixed aged group setting, which includes ages 2 ½-5 years of age. We feel this is beneficial to all the children, as they will learn from those both younger and older than them.
